Everything on this website is free—including all the software. That's the way I want it to be. The reasons for this are:

1. This site is dedicated to William H. Bates, which himself gave up a lot of potential financial income, when he chose to go against his colleagues and cure people without glasses. He and Emily also treated many poor people for little or no payment. To try to keep this website as best as possible within their spirit, I want everything here to be free.
2. It's just my opinion that when things are potentially very helpful to people's well-being and health—financial resources shouldn't be the determining factor in whether or not this is available to you.
3. One of the first argument some "anti-Bates" ophthalmologists and optometrists use against people promoting the Bates method, is that they're just in it to make money (something that's hardly the case!). What better way to counter this argument, than to spend lots of time developing a website and software dedicated to the method—then give it all away for free.
